We present some possible such entries in our constant endeavour to smoothen out matters between the sexes…
It’s been awhile, since New Year has come and gone, giving us the opportunity to reflect on those resolves that may have escaped our usual beginning-of-the-year scanner. We present some possible such entries in our constant endeavour to smoothen out matters between the sexes…
Wife Resolve No. 14. I will not leave the hairbrush we share clogged up with long, strong, two-toned hair.
Husband Resolve No. 6. I will not leave my wet towel on the bed, but will hang it out to dry in the balcony as soon as I finish my bath.
Wife Resolve No. 19. I will not make rajma, channa or chickpeas for dinner more than twice a month.
Husband Resolve No.9. I will not call my friends from kindergarten home for dinner without checking with my wife.
Wife Resolve No. 21. I will not remind my husband about the cordless phone repair in the middle of our lovemaking.
Husband Resolve No. 12. I will not allow the non-functioning iron/toaster/toilet flush to become covered in dust before I have it repaired.
Wife Resolve No. 24. I will call his family home for dinner without any prompting from him, or my mother-in-law.
Husband Resolve No. 15. I will remember her brother’s birthday, and actually buy him a new shirt, without offering him one someone else gave me.
Wife Resolve No. 26. Hmmm…I think I will tell him how much I love him and how special he is, at least once every other day.
Husband Resolve No. 18. Hmmm…if I know what’s good for me, I had better remember to tell her how much I love her at least twice a day.
As you can see from the above, we have worked hard at gathering some inputs from all the different areas that make marriage such a minefield. You may have your own special resolutions to add to make life better with your loved one. Put them into practice.
