IT can happen in the blink of an eye. Attraction. Excitement. Romance. But for too many Sisters who are searching for Mr. Right (not Mr. Right Now), the game of love is a crooked road of broken promises where the coveted jackpot, referred to as “the one,” is too late, long-gone or maybe destined to never show at all.

In a scenario of meandering, mindless plots, woven around over-dressed, conniving women and hapless men in serials that stretch relentlessly over weeks, months and years, Viruddh, the recently launched serial on Sony TV comes as a refreshing surprise.

Film : Paruthi Veeran
Starring : Karthi, Priyamani, Saravanan, Kanja Karuppu
Director : Ameer
The film stands apart from the normal fare that seems to be coming out of Kollywood these days. After the critically acclaimed Ram, this is director Ameer’s next venture, so naturally expectations were high. The film exceeds them by far.

Film: 300
Starring : Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Dominic West.
Director: Zack Snyder

And though we hear time’s winged chariot hurrying near, we cling to the vain belief that corked within the attractive bottle of an expensively priced cream lies that age-defying magic formula. Because youth is at a premium, it always has been.
