BetrayalThe young woman showed no visible tears, yet, the pain was only too apparent in her large brown eyes. While she had come the previous year for a Tarot reading to tell her about the future of her relationship with someone she loved, this time she was before me because she had discovered that her boyfriend had been married for nine long months – had got hitched up to someone else after meeting her, in fact, and neglected to tell her so. A chance SMS to her boyfriend one day had resulted in his wife calling her back. The nastiest shock of discovering that she even existed had been eclipsed by the humiliation of hearing her advice to ‘stay away’ from her husband.

Nepal - The Magical KingdomDraped along the spine of the Himalaya, Nepal is a land of sublime scenery, timeworn temples, and some of the best hiking trails on earth. It’s the kind of country that lingers in your dreams long after you leave it. This is why so many travelers are drawn back to Nepal, armed the second time round with a greater appreciation of its natural and cultural complexity, a stout pair of walking boots and a desire for sculpted calf muscles.

Possessiveness‘I’d rather see you dead, little girl than to see you with another man…’ sang the Beatles in the 1960s. Its common for partners to be possessive about each other, that’s what the whole exclusivity deal is about, isn’t it? But often in relationships, feelings of possessiveness develop about completely different things and people than the conventional ‘other man’ or ‘other woman’. So what are those things that ruffle feathers and cause men and women to seethe silently next to their spouses or partners? What makes people feel completely dissatisfied because they feel there is a part of their partner that they cannot ‘own’ or reach? Here are some of these trouble areas.

Prediction made tp Julius Caesar in 44 BCAdmittedly, we live in an age of incredible scientific leaps, a time when irrational occurrences can be laid on the table of scientific rationale and explained logically. Well… almost, if you don’t take the realm of the supernatural, the esoteric world of predictions and prophesies, psychics and prophesiers into account.

A world which has always fascinated me, not because it defies logic and neatly presented scientific constructions of belief, but because it reaches out to something within me which tells me there is more to life than science.

The Four AgreementsWe are all creatures of habit, operating by a belief system that we never chose to believe in the first place. Our belief system is like a Book of Law that rules our mind. Often these beliefs may not all be empowering but adhering to them makes us feel safe. Besides, we unwittingly agreed to all of them, bound by our own agreement of fear.

The biggest fear that drives us is not the fear of death but taking the risk to be alive.
We’re constantly trying to measure up to other people’s views and expectations of us. Our perception of perfection is based on this input and we find we cannot forgive ourselves for not being perfect. So we pretend to be that, which we are not.
