Weight LossThe big day will be here before you know it. Be sure you feel you’re best with these four weight loss tips.

Wedding weight loss is a common concern for brides-to-be, as they wonder how in the world they’re going to fit into the dress of their dreams. Whether you’re a fast-paced executive, laid-back entrepreneur, or a stressed-out grad student, the following wedding weight loss tips could prove quite beneficial for any schedule:

1) Drink Water

I know you’ve heard that drinking at least eight glasses of water can lead to a glowing complexion and improved digestion, but boy…isn’t it hard? Counting the amount of water you drink on a daily basis can become rather tiresome. However, it will pay off in the long run with faded dark circles under your eyes, flushed body fat, and a decreased appetite. In order to meet your recommended quota:

• Keep a bottle of water beside your bed – drink ½ of it before you go to bed and finish the rest as soon as you wake up.

• Carry a bottle of water around with you and sip it throughout the day.

• Before each meal, drink ½ to 1 bottle of water.

Confort foodIt was just another regular day, except that Rita was feeling a little stressed out. As she settled into her chair she reached out for the candy bar. As she bit into the soft creamy bar she felt a surge of guilt which she quickly put to rest by telling herself that since she felt so stressed out that is what she really needed. Besides this is not something that she does all the time. Does that story ring familiar? Well then here are some doable, practical ways of beating the urge to nibble on those comfort foods.

The dictionary defines comfort foods as foodstuffs that many people turn to comfort food for familiarity, emotional security, or as a special reward. It has often been said that these foods are associated with pleasant childhood experiences and grown ups reach out such foods for reliving those pleasant experiences associated with the food. Some common characteristics of comfort foods are that they are simple to make (usually), and rich in carbohydrates and sugars.

There are many reasons for combating these cravings. The most important being that it can lead to a condition commonly known as “emotional eating”. This will lead to further, more serious conditions like extreme weight gain and depression.

LucerneLucerne

The quiet beautiful town of Lucerne sits on the western edge of Lake Lucerne. The River Reuss runs through it, as it has done for the last 1,000 odd years. Lucerne is quintessential Switzerland, antiseptically clean, picture postcard pretty, poised, elegant, self-possessed. It is a city that has managed to balance the mediaeval past with the post-modern present. It gives you the chance to lark it up on the lake and a moment to swan down to a chic restaurant. Lucerne is what you make of it. What will you make of it?

Allapuzha BackwaterYou could epitomize it as a woman, one who serenades her changing mood, shades of which coincidentally reflects the state of soul the onlooker experiences in the length of a day. From the brilliance of a mid-day sun to the porcelain hide-and-seek of a gentle May moon, the backwaters resolutely reflects the time in an ever-lasting ballet of waves, emphasizing the ongoing greater conversations habitual of Nature; much of it oblivious to a world fascinated by material pursuits.
